Back in Norway

My journey in Asia is over for now, and after one year as a trainee in Telenor I am back in Oslo and Norway. At least for a while. About one year ago, I moved to Stockholm, and six months ago, the destination was Kuala Lumpur. Living abroad has been a good experience, and it has given me a taste for more. However, I felt joy at meeting family and friends again. And Norway is very beautiful in the autumn.
Beautiful Budapest for a week
Only a few days after I arrived in Oslo, the journey continued; and this time to Budapest in Hungary for another trainee gathering. The theme for the week was Communication which I think was rather interesting. Revealing different communication styles within the trainee group, and helping each other adjusting to the preferred styles was very useful. We also had a visit to Pannon during the week to learn about some of their focus areas at the moment. The evenings were spent discovering Budapest, a spectacular city!
Global Trainee – Global Coordination
My new position is in Telenor Global Coordination TV, a unit with the ambition to create attractive TV opportunities outside the Nordic region. The objective of Telenor Global Coordination is “to add significant value to our operating companies by further improving their local competitiveness by leveraging global scale and capabilities”. It sounds like a very interesting area of Telenor to me, and I am really exited to be a part of it.
I will definitively miss Kuala Lumpur in many ways, and especially my colleagues in DiGi, but somehow it feels good to be back too. And now it’s back to work and new challenges…

Above is the view from my new desk at Fornebu. It is indeed a beautiful autumn day with clear skies and fantastic colours along the Oslo fjord.
