Photo Journal of Sweden

It finally struck me last night that six months has passed in a blink of an eye. People say there are some things you learn and you won’t forget in your life, like cycling, swimming and playing the piano. I’m adding Sweden to that list of mine.
The “ups”
The best part about being in Sweden is having a great team to work with. I have to thank Magnus and Petra for throwing me into steep learning curves. I have during this period learn to focus on the process of completing a task rather than just the results. And through this I have learned about my strengths and shortfalls. The fun part of being in Telenor Sweden is having colleagues who take time to explain about what makes up a telco business. The learning experience is far more than I expected. And I also have Jan-Åke to thank for challenging me with tasks and guiding me along the way. You know how much I enjoy being in Karlskrona
And the “downs”…
You probably wouldn’t believe if I said I didn’t have any down sides. But there really isn’t (m)any. If there was one thing, I miss my grandparents terribly. I have never missed the durian season and Mid-Autumn Festival which I always spent with them. But for a change this year, I have traded the fruits and mooncakes for summer and boat rides in Sweden. It was definately worth it.
Challenges and take-aways
The most difficult challenge I have during my stay here, and until today, is trying to pronouce Skärholmen! I’m glad it wasn’t an office-related task!
If I could only take away one thing from Sweden, it would be the friendships built during my stay here in Telenor Sweden. That is enough to remind me of the learning experience and all that come fun that came along with it. To Paul, Mia, Ia and my colleagues and friends at Telenor Sweden, tack så mycket! And of course, I’m going to miss fika!
