Time to deliver

Our task was straight-forward – compress three months of hard work into a one page overview, a ten slide information pack and a five minute presentation. As the joke goes, writing a long letter saves time for the sender. Our time-account maintained a comfortable margin, more thanks to cooperation than using smaller font. Juggling ideas back and forth induces creativity: how would the concept work, what would be the cost and revenue streams, who would use it, what pricing models should we apply, and most importantly from the user perspective, where is the added value?
The DiGi Management Team (DMT) would be presented with a range of new, exciting concepts, and we wanted them to have as much information as possible prior to our presentation. I had the challenging task of preparing a tool kit, basically a short overview of the industry to demonstrate the strategic impact and importance of our concepts.
Green light to proceed
Trust me, nothing is worse than a hard chair and a boring lecture. The latter was ok – our overall strategy and final concepts would be thought-provoking and entertaining. But, to be sure, we chose the popular TSB restaurant in Bangsar as our location. This surrounding would prove a soft backdrop for our management team, who enjoyed espressos while being kept on the edge of their seats during the presentation.
In short, the final day was judged a success. We had fun and received positive feedback from the management team. With only two months left of my stay with DiGi, I will hand over my concept for further development, and help implement one of the other projects. I have been part of a product improvement process in Norway and concept development in KL, and I am now excited about experiencing the operational side.
