A story ends and another begins

Not always easy
Being a trainee is not always easy. Just as I was getting comfortable in my previous position working with business improvement, I am off for another position and thereby back to scratch. Also having to leave those you love behind for a new adventure abroad you might wonder what we are actually thinking of. Believe me when saying that we also wonder at times.
Moving to Budapest
That being said, moving to Budapest has so far been a good experience, and Pannon GSM seems be a great place to work. One thing I can say for sure after only three days is that Hungarians in general are really friendly and helpful. A good example of this is that everyone always say hello to you when you pass them. It just makes you feel welcome and acknowledged which makes it a lot easier to be the ‘new guy’. In this respect I truly admit that Norwegians still have a way to go.
Meeting the Pannon trainees
I will also have to mention the Pannon GSM trainees in my first blog contribution from Budapest. I was lucky to meet all of them (except from Istvan which is now in Norway), and it turned out to be great. Next to being really friendly and helpful they also seems be a group of very talented young professionals. Hopefully we all get to know each other, both professionally and socially.
Mobile Data & New Business Department
During my outplacement here at Pannon GSM I will work in the Mobile Data & New Business Department. Since this is my first day at work it is yet to be decided what will be my task for the next weeks, however as it looks at the moment I will work on several interesting project during my stay here at Pannon GSM, and probably learn a lot about Business Development within telecommunications and obtain a good understanding of the Hungarian market situation.
Wish you all the best, Marius
