Excuse me. Being back in Oslo, I am happy that we now have more daylight than before I left for Kuala Lumpur in January. But unfortunately, I am down with a cold as I write
As I cannot think very straight now (I think my head is filled with mucus, ugh), I will post some photos of our trip in KL for you to enjoy!
Dinner at a Japanese Restaurant. Spot the missing person!
Our ‘mamak’ experience. This is a very typical Malaysian night-life. Malaysians eat round-the-clock; hence that’s why we even have restaurants open 24hours / 365days a year. The mamak restaurant is the melting pot of all races in Malaysia. Back in my hometown, I often hang out at my local mamak restaurant, where my Indian friends order their favourite Chinese noodle, Malay friends order their favourite Indian pancake and myself, I order my favourite Malay dish.
So, if you ask me about Malaysia, I’d say ‘you cannot say you’ve been to Malaysia until you’ve been to a mamak restaurant’ ![]()

Mariann and Mala attacking the ‘thosai paper’, a cone-shaped crêpe usually sour and eaten with curry or chutney.
This is the Twin Towers at night. Istvan was very kind to queue early one morning to get us all tickets to the skybridge. Thanks buddy!

Remember to stay tuned next week, as I take you to explore Malaysia and jungle boogie! (I like how Ole Johan puts it) ![]()

Wow, Malaysia sounds like a very interesting country. It will definitely be my next holiday destination. Looking forward to all the ‘thosai paper’!

Hi Yuin!
Let me know if you want to find out more about holidays in Malaysia and I will be happy to share some ideas
Check out this blog next week where I will post more photos of Malaysia for you. Have a nice weekend!
I’m very happy you’re planning to visit Malaysia. Remember to try all the local delicacies (don’t worry, you don’t need a big appetite for food, just a big appetite for curiosity)
Cheers, Nicole
