A Journey

Hi, in this blog, I will deviate from the usual job related issues which tend to become boring after some time not only for you as a reader but also for me as a writer. However I’m in luck as January had been a pretty happening month for the trainees. Wondering what could have taken place?
Digi host for the Global trainees of Telenor
I shall not delay any longer! DiGi in January 2008 played host to the Management Trainees of Telenor. That‘s right the rest of the 11 trainees made their trip down to Kuala Lumpur!

It was great meeting the rest of the gang, after three long months. They were really excited to be in Kuala Lumpur and to bask in the sun! Which they did most of the time and I had to constantly find shelter from the sun!

Group and personal development
The first day involved visiting DiGi head office and meeting with some of DiGi Management Team to understand DiGi business and environment. The rest of the days were spent in the hotel working on our group and personal development project. The days were taxing with intense discussion on a variety of job related topics. This time around we were divided in to two groups and each was given an assignment to complete and present on May 19th 2008.
Traded breakfast hours for extra sleeping time
But it was not all work and no play! We had the night to ourselves and we certainly enjoyed going out for dinner at midnight and returning back late. Next day we either skipped our breakfast or had to gobble our food fast since we traded our breakfast hours for extra sleeping time!
It was great having the rest around, but eventually the date of departure arrived and each made promise to keep in touch and to meet back in Oslo on May 19th 2008.
A journey full of challenges and unexpected surprises
Last but not least there is a reason behind the selection of this blog’s title as A Journey. The trainees’ journey started in Telenor Fornebu and so far it has been a journey full of challenges and unexpected surprises. I believe we, the trainees have come a long way in terms of self discovery as well as in relation to each other since crossing the starting line in Fornebu and the best part of this journey is that it is not at an end, well at least not yet!
Enjoy the great photos!

Hey Yogamala,
I am graduated on July 07 with a first class (hons) degree in Communication and Electronic Engineering. I wanted to apply for Telenor Management Trainee programme in DiGi last year but the application was closed. I am still interested in the in Telenor Management Trainee programme.
Can I know when did u apply or when is it to be able to apply for Telenor Management Trainee programme? And how long the whole recruitment and interview and online tests takes ? One month? What kind of online test that U took? Aptitude and behavioural test?
Please give me some tips on the online test and the interview and the assessment.
Thank you very much. I hope you have a great time and career with DiGi.
Malaysia Boleh!
